Access to Aquaponics earns money from Amazon Associates commissions, direct Guidebook sales, and occasional sponsored placements. This page explains all three. It is the canonical policy referenced by every FTC disclosure block on the site.
Amazon Associates
Access to Aquaponics is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you click an Amazon link on this site and buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission. It does not cost you anything extra. Our BOM prices are checked every 90 days and updated with a datestamp on each page.
Sponsored placements
We occasionally publish sponsored reviews or newsletter placements. Sponsored content is clearly labelled with a Sponsored pill, separated from our editorial best-of roundups, and carries an expanded disclosure block. We reserve the right to publish a negative sponsored review, and we have. Sponsored placements are priced between $300 and $1,500 for a review and $150 to $500 for a newsletter placement.
Editorial independence
- Verdicts are written before the Amazon CTA is added. Commission size does not decide review order.
- Every best-of roundup includes a “How we tested and scored” section and a “What we excluded and why” section.
- Every kit roundup includes a “Best DIY alternative” section linking to the relevant build guide.
- Corrections are logged publicly with a correction notice on the corrected article.
